Plush

I got my start making tiny little felt ball shaped plush of Pokemon characters for about $5 a pop for fellow collectors in a small community on LiveJournal. As I practiced more and more and saw what other textile artists were capable of, I started to branch out into making my own patterns, then incorporating nicer materials like fleece, minky, and faux furs with hand-painted details. Finally I was able to add additional finishing quality to my work with the introduction of an embroidery machine into my toolset.

While I've been branching further into more original sewing work, I always have tons of fun doing fanart plush and adapting another media's style into my own!

If you ever are interested in learning to sew plush, I highly recommend NazFX's patterns and tutorials. Her work has absolutely helped me improve my own patterning abilities. Choly Knight is also a wonderful artist who provides free patterns that can really help newer textile artists practice and grow their skills!
